Bringing influences from rock, country, pop and having them marinate in the Rocky Mountains...You get Aaron Ball and his crew making unique, versatile, and fun American/Roots Rock music one needs to experience to understand. Aaron’s music is full of passion, personal reflection and storytelling, combined with engaging live shows that have gained credibility with audiences around the world.
If his roots are planted in Idaho, his wings spread while living as a musician in Auckland, New Zealand. Under the growth and changes of a second home, Aaron branded his Idaho style that lead to an ideal musical niche. In his new found understanding, Aaron has received multiple songwriting and performance awards, including the Akademia country artist of the year in 2017 and 2018, and their prestigious Executive Award in 2019.
Since 2015 Aaron has toured multiple countries outside of the United States including Australia, New Zealand, Brazil, Canada, Mexico and Japan, as well as 14 Countries in the Caribbean as a country artist for Carnival Cruise Lines.
Aaron released his 4th solo effort in December 2018 that features new songs recorded at “The Parlor Recording Studio” in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Aaron’s previous “ all acoustic” record, recorded at Ferry Hill Studio in Auckland, NZ, earned him vocalist awards for “This Road". Additionally, his song “Omaha” was recognized at the Academia Music Awards in Los Angeles, California in April of 2017.
"New Beginnings.” Aaron’s 2014 Full-Length LP showcased a variety of styles from the country/rock guitar driven “Omaha,” to the ballad tones of “Second Gear” which received substantial radio airplay in the United States when it was released.
Aaron performs and tours as a solo act, as a duo with Pianist David Bowman, and also travels with his full Band, “the Aaron Ball Band” which includes drummer Jared Smith and a rotating cast of great musicians. Aaron maintains a personal connection with audiences and a performance that is suitable for audiences of all ages. Aaron’s soulful voice and passionate songwriting has been compared to artist such as Rob Thomas, Brandon Flowers and David Gray.
One of the first bands Aaron recorded with and toured with was as the guitarist, songwriter and frontman for the Band “Somewhere in the Middle.” Aaron Toured the United Stated multiple times, Particularly the western States and promoted SITM’s first two albums, which he wrote “Stepping Stones” (2008), and then the band’s 2010 “Purple” EP, recorded at Fudge Studios in New Orleans, LA and produced by Tom Drummond.(Better than Ezra) As the SITM chapter came to a close, Aaron continued writing and performing as a solo artist until forming an new group under his name.
Since its beginning in 2012, The “Aaron Ball Band” has made a name for themselves as a high energy crowd pleaser, beginning with their performance at the 2012 Seattle Hempfest Festival, followed by a consistent touring schedule, focusing on the western US, but also returning to New Zealand, as well as tour dates in Australia and Brazil.
In 2022, Aaron ball band released a single, "New Strings". AN ep under the same name will be released in the fall of that year.
Since the start , Aaron has shared the stage with some of todays hottest rock and country acts, such as Daughtry, Andy Grammar, The Band Perry, Rob Thomas, Train, Shinedown, Sick Puppies, Blessid Union of Souls, Great White, Nic Jonas, Matt Kearney, Echosmith, Granger Smith and Smashmouth.
